COVID-19 - Our Church's Response
Our COVID-19 task force team along with our elders are continually monitoring the pandemic situation on a daily basis. We receive all of the new data and recommendations from local/state authorities to help us make the best decisions for our church family. We want to encourage you to help us during these unprecedented times by doing the best you can as a person of faith to help us keep the doors open to serve you and others.
We feel like our church family has done an excellent job to this point, however, we also feel that some steps need to be taken to help us further reduce the risk of spreading the virus at our church. We want you to continue to follow all of the previous recommendations along with the new guidelines for our church family.
· If you are sick, feel sick, or have recently had a fever (in the last 72 hours) PLEASE STAY HOME.
· All individuals are asked to please wear a mask AT ALL TIMES.
· Please do your BEST to remain 6 feet apart for physical distancing - in ALL LOCATIONS of the buildings.
· ROW WITH A BOW please space yourself out by ONLY sitting in the pews marked with a festive bow.
· Please bring your own hand sanitizer or use the provided hand sanitizing stations often.
· Please follow all the guidelines posted at the restrooms.
We want to again thank you for your support during this time in our world. Let us remember - IT IS BETTER TO BE SAFE, THAN TO BE IN THE NEWS.
STATEMENT FROM THE MINISTERS, STAFF, AND ELDERS:
As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, we are making additional changes at the Franklin church to do our best to make our members safe. We are encouraged from the words of the Philippian writer (2: 3-5) Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus (ESV)
After much prayer and careful consideration, we are asking for your help and your prayers as we are committed to make this situation easier. We realize this may be an inconvenience to some as we work through this difficult time together.
We ask that you wear your mask at all times. We have mask available if you should need one. Please do your best to remain 6ft. apart for social distancing in all locations of the buildings. Today, you will notice we have festive bows on every other pew. We ask that you sit on a "Row With A Bow." This will help ensure social distancing.
This morning we will provide songs by video. Please feel free to sing along with the music and slides, but please wear your mask. This is not the way we usually do singing, however because we are looking at the "interest of others", we feel this is our best option.
We will continue to monitor the pandemic on a daily basis. We want to thank you for your support and having the best interest of others during these unprecedented times by doing the best you can as a person of faith to help us keep the doors open to serve you and others.
